Pouppée Fabrikk Reunites
The Swedish EBM act Pouppée Fabrikk reunites after 7 years of (almost) total absence from the scene.
The news has been announced on the band’s myspace site. Frontman Henrik Bjoerkk returns on vocals and Christiaan R. (C.A.P./Menticide) joins the band as full member, filling the place of former member Jouni Ollila. The PF studio has also been rebuilt to its former strength and work is currently in progress on the new album, scheduled for release in 2010.
Pouppée Fabrikk is a Swedish EBM band, started in 1988 by Henrik Bjoerkk and Leif Holm, who both hail from Karlskoga. Initially, the music of Pouppée Fabrikk (PF) borrowed heavily from minimalistic electronic acts such as Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft and , but with the addition of Jouni Olilla and Jonas Aneheim on guitar PF moved towards a more Die Krupps-style electronic/metal mix. The “Your Pain – Our Gain” CD was meant to be released in 1996, but due to differences in opinion between the band and the record company (Energy Rekords) it was delayed until 1999. In 1996 the band decided to take a break and PF was put on hold and the band members worked on various solo projects.
In 2000 the band re-united for a gig at the Tinnitus Electronic Festival and announced that they were planning a comeback and returning to their roots. They released a four track mini CD entitled “Elite Electronics” but there was no trace of an album. A year later both Jarmo and Henrik left the band to concentrate on their respective solo careers. PF disbanded shortly afterwards, but re-appeared again in the autumn of 2005 at a concert at Beatclub in Dessau, Germany with Johan Damm from Volt as the new vocalist.

“Work or Riot!” – This is the motto of Pascal Z, vocalist, machinist and programmer of the one-man commando ELITE!. This is why he, a Frenchman who was raised in Düsseldorf, has done mainly one thing during the past months: hard electronic work. His third album with the powerful title “Totenkopf” supplies twelve times tough-minded EBM, the roots of which reach back deep into the eighties and extract pure energy from the glorious times of NITZER EBB, DIE KRUPPS and especially DAF.
The steel-armored, straight and rough ELITE! sound hammers out of the equipment and adds up to clear and solely German-language lyrics about the favored topics of love, sex, work and muscles. Now and then, something sounds familiar, which is totally intended. The track “Der Eisentanz” for example is a great “Mussolini”-adaptation and the musical declaration of war “Volle Kraft zurück” has to be taken as a sign of solidarity – not only regarding the title – with the above-mentioned cult band from the former neighborhood of Düsseldorf.
Despite all hardness, ELITE! maintains a healthy dose of humor and shares it with his EBM colleagues and EKOBROTTSMYNDIGHETEN, who contributed two remixes to the third ELITE! album.
100 per cent Electronic Body Music from the elite for the elite, to be released on 27.04.2009 and kindly supported by the long-established family business: Electric Tremor Dessau!

K-Bereit is a French hard-edge EBM act. While it may not be part of the neo “old-school” variety, it’s still EBM.. done the French way.
Dominique Lallement (Cobalt 60/Kreigbereit) and Fred Sebastien (Kreigbereit) returned like the Phoenix, rise to offer this unique and new sound to the EBM-Industrial music scene.
Released on the label Sigsaly Transmissions, The Album includes guest appearances by Jacky of SA42, Mika Rossi of Autodafeh, Miss Z of Punish Yourself, Oliver of Dolls of Pain, and with bonus tracks by Psychosomatik & Under All.
The first pressing of this release is on the limited edition, “vinyl” disc. The CD is black and actually look a bit like a vinyl 45″.

New release from Elite!
Elite! is exactly what it say it is: ELITE!
This France based old school EBM act presents more DAF and Nitzer Ebb style the way it was back in its glory days, than most today’s bands do. Especially early DAF influence is more rare in modern EBM, but Elite! proves that wrong through such stand-out tracks as Harte Liebe and Mein Mädchen. You can hear those and other songs on Elite! Myspace.

Today is when a new release from this project sees daylight. Entitled “Totenkopf” it presents 12 tracks, including remixes by EkoBrottsMyndigheten and Frontal. As the other two Elite! albums, this once consists of music that ranges from fast energetic punk to more hard beating straight old school EBM, and a few slower slightly atmospheric tracks.
You can preview “Totenkopf” and buy it (and the other two albums) from Black Montana label.
